In case of lost baggage, contact the airline as soon as possible. Best, just after landing. The airlines have an insurance themselves.  Their IATA insurance pays per kilogram. I had once a completely demolished luggage. They told me ok, it’s this many kilograms, we pay you 40 bucks per kilogram. Of cource, this is not always enough. You have to deal with the airline to get more out of them. As a good customer you will get more back from them.

Flat tires, is usually not what you want. Road travel can be insured. If it’s your own car the best is to take a one year car insurance. Rental cars also have insurance. If you are stranded with a flat tire on a foreign city, where you hardly speak up the language, grab the paper inside the car. There you find mostly a 24 hour road assistance. Sometimes you can also have a number of the insurance company on the car key itself.

Illness and accidents is way different when you are traveling, then when you are at home. Usually the health insurance take care of costs that happens abroad. For  longer stays you should contact your health insurance and tell them you want to go away for a longer time. They have special offers for this.

What happens if you have booked a flight, and your travel-partner is getting ill just before you leave?  If you have a good travel insurance, they should also take care of this. The insurance should take all the costs for changing or canceling a flight.

I decided to donate all the money from the ads that is coming in next February to UNICEF for Haiti.

All the money from the game ads and from the blog ads.  Other topics like the theory or the adressbook and project don’t have ads. Please take also your chance and help the people in Haiti. They need new houses, roads, medical help and food.

This will be most fun with a campervan. Saving money for overnight stay because we can sleep in the van. There are many rental car companies in australia. Most of them offer the same typ of camper. If you don’t go offroad a 2WD is the better option than a 4WD. Lower in price an consuming less gasoline. Also driving faster. For two people a nice campervan is a so called hitop.  They have a bed, gas oven, fridge, water tank and camping tables.  There are some others types also suitable.

Things we considered:
Camper suitable for two people
Has camping equipment
Good Insurance. In case something happens we don’t have to deal with administrative work and money and can enjoy our vacation.
Price in Total (including additional Fees: like one way fee)

Not in the comparisment is wicked camper. Some friends made a bad experience with wicked campers. “The cars are old and they don’t care about you”. Also there are not friendly to animals. Wicked looks cheap but they rip you off with additional fees. Wicked camper is not recommended. There are so many better options !

no-worries.com.au is the best option for two people and Australian campervans if you need a camper for more than 2 people. Britz has also nice cars, but insurance is expensive.

Want do drive fast, then go to germany. Some roads have no speed limits. I saw a sign there telling limit of 130 is over.  Be aware that also germany has lots accidents and the speed limit is only higher when the road is really flat an straight. Also germany has traffic jams. Drive fast – Stop faster.
