Spain or basque - memo 4

We crossed the boarder to spain. Our next destination is san se bastian. Spain has strange roadsigns, I am unable to read them. But we made it there. We found a parking place close to the train station. A guy tries to explain us that it is not a good place to sleep in the car at night. First he talked in spanish and then in french, but both was too fast for me. We were looking for a bank to exchange money in the center of the city. There was a building with a sign called cubo. It looked like a bank. A man waved us in. What a surprise, insight the building was a gallery of clothes. Most older clothes for dancing. We took some pictures and went out. Nice beach here. The city is right at the coast. Maex wants to go shopping. Either he wants to eat or he wants to shop. Here in spain he says, are the people not so tall. In spain they have his size of clothes, he says. Poor guy, he is to little to wear normal stuff. A bautifull sexygirl works at the change desk. She has blonde curled hair. We didn't had our photo with us, so if you go their, take a picture of her for us. The night broke in. We found a park on a city map. The park is close to the train station. After a short walk were their. The park is allready closed. There is a wall araund the park and a big fence at the entrance. We climbed over the fence and in we are. Nice green park for the night. We know it's forbidden to stay in the park at night, but it's such a nice place. I slept well. A jogger waked me up. Right after I was out of the tent a park-worker came to me and told me in spanish that it is forbidden to camp in the park. 'si' I said and he walked away. It's not a big crime to camp in the park. I had enough of this city, I wanted to go to the landsite. We drove away from the trainstation. Maex found a montain on the map. A good place to take a picture of san sebastian, we thought. A very curvy road went up the hill. Close to the top another car came across. The driver of the car signed us by hand to turn around. So close to the top we drove ahead A gate stoped us. The city is looking great from here. Wonderfull. We turned around and drove down.

zarautz

Just ten kilometers away from san sebastian we reach a nice spot called zarautz. Unfortunatly we took the freeway and had to pay about 3 SFR for it. The highway is expencive in spain. Oh no we are not in spain we are in the basque country. In the center of the city we found a sign saying: tourist remember this is not spain nor france. You are in the basque country. Basque has his own culture, history and language. Those basque people are still fighting for there independence. Just the extremists. Spain, France, Basque are all in the EU. Independence doesen't matter any more.
Lovely beach here. It's a really cool place for bodyboarding and surfing. We gonna rent a surfboard tomorrow, we thougt. We had Paella for diner. Excellent and not too expensive. On the Paella there was a little red lobster. I opened the lobster with a knife, but there was nothing inside. Absolutly no meat. Poor little lobster, he died for nothing. There were also some king size prawns with long scirors. We made a fight with the scissors. At the end there was a big mess on the plate. We slept at the beach at night. After a few hours a sandstorm came up. We moved to another place. Then it began to rain. We moved again. Our slepping place had a roof this time and we slept till sunrise. The gasgrill was almost set up for breakfast. A heavy rain forced us to cancel breakfast and move into our car. It rained one time in our vacation and it was on this sunday morning, when we wantet to rent a surfboard. Lukely our good old clio was still here. So we drove back to france.
